Partnerland

Frankfurt, Germany — American food, personalities, entertainment and music are being showcased at Heimtextil's opening night gala here, to mark the United States' role as the 2003 Heimtextil Partnerland.
"The U.S. Department of Commerce is very honored to be named Partnerland for Heimtextil 2003," said James Leonard, deputy assistant secretary for textiles, apparel and consumer goods industries. "This designation will provide an excellent environment in which the U.S. textile home furnishings industry can show the world that we remain industry leaders in product design, quality, merchandising and production of textile home furnishings products."
Under the banner of "Discover the Fabric and Fiber of America," American exhibitors are playing a prominent role in the 33rd edition of the giant fabric fair, and a number of exhibitions are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce as well.
In addition to the U.S. pavilions, the American textile companies are presenting themselves and their products in creative and imaginative ways in the Forum on Level 1 of Messe Frankfurt, where, based on the Heimtextil Home Trends, rooms have been decorated in American styles and demonstrate the way Americans live and work.
