Spartanburg, S.C. — Tietex International has formed a new unit, Tietex Interiors, part of a corporate reorganization following its acquisition of the Burlington House Upholstery division from Burlington Inds. last year.
The unit has been known as Burlington House Upholstery by Tietex. At Showtime in High Point this month, the line will be shown under the Tietex Interiors banner.
Mike Durham, who headed Burlington House Upholstery, has been named president of Tietex Interiors. Durham said Tietex Interiors will have four business units — Interiors under Durham, Ticking under Ron Weaver, Technical under Mike Hardegree and Automotive under Charles Fleming.
Sales and marketing heads will be named shortly. Durham said the new interiors business "has the objective of doubling its existing business in three years."
The company has operations in the United States, Thailand, Poland and Australia, and joint ventures in Mexico and Belgium.
