Hickory, N.C. — Mastercraft plans to move 50 miles to a new 40,000-square-foot marketing and design facility here from Spindale, N.C., where the company has been for about 20 years.
"We expect to make the move this month," said Ray King, president. "We'll have three big showrooms and four big workrooms, plus a design library."
King said the move to a larger town will improve conditions for the design team, make it easier to attract talent and put the company closer to most of its upholstery manufacturer customers.
Mastercraft is showing its new fabric line this week at Showtime in its showroom at 333 S. Wrenn St., High Point.
