Seffner, Fla. — Rooms To Go has tapped Digi-Net Technologies to provide the 80-store retail giant with online sales support.
Digi-Net's Groopz E-Commerce package is expected to improve customer service specifically to Internet users with single line dial-up access.
Groopz enables sales representatives and customer service people to communicate with online visitors using text-based dialog not unlike instant messaging. Groopz also enables the monitoring of site traffic in real time.
"We were looking for an online solution to enhance our customer contact methods," said Mike Austin, e-commerce manager for Rooms To Go. "We're optimistic about the sales potential (in) allowing customers to communicate with our knowledgeable online support staff in real time."
Rooms To Go, which does sell via the Internet, is on the Web at www.roomstogo.com.
Seven-year-old Digi-Net, whose customers include NBC, Procter & Gamble and Intel, is based in Gainesville, Fla.
