By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 5, 2003
Sudbury, Mass. — FurnitureFan gave away 15 Bose Wave CD radios in cooperation with manufacturers at the October High Point market and plans to continue the promotion at the San Francisco, Tupelo and spring High Point markets.
The high-end radios, valued at $600, were given to retailers who won drawings after tossing their business cards into containers at the participating showrooms.
FurnitureFan, an Internet directory of furniture and stores at www.furniturefan.com, also has a consumer radio giveaway on its Web site.
It promoted the market giveaway with e-mail messages to its industry user base of nearly 10,000 names.
Participating manufacturers in the October promotion included A-America, APA Marketing, BenchCraft, Berkline, Chromcraft, Douglas, Fashion Bed Group, Lane Home Furnishings, Orleans, Pulaski, Richardson Bros., Sealy, Sunset Trading and T&J. FurnitureFan also gave away a radio at its own space.
