Hickory festival set July 23–25

Hickory, N.C. — The sixth annual Hickory Heritage Furnishings Festival will be take place July 23–25 at the Catawba Furniture Mall here.
The event, which originated as the North Carolina Furnishings Festival in High Point in 1997 and moved to Hickory in 1999, honors the industry and features exhibits, games, contests, food and entertainment.
An exhibitor reception will take place at 5 p.m. July 23, followed by opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. Activities, which are free and open to the public, will include art appraisals, furniture exhibits, manufacturer and furniture crafting demonstrations, free interior design consultations, and a variety of furniture and accessories for sale.
