Best Home Furnishings

High Point — Upholstery maker Best Home Furnishings presented awards to its top sales representatives at the April market.

Charlie Wing was named Sales Rep of the Year. Tracy Lutz won the Most Improved Sales Rep award, and Dean Spearman received the Gold Award.

Silver Award winners were Andy Benz, Bob Carrubba, Mark Levine, Martin Murrell and Bill Tasker.

Receiving Bronze Awards were Larry Bond, Tom Cigno, Duane Coshatt, Jack Davis, Tim Dolloff, John Dunn, Les Feil, Don Hoffman, Gary Gill, Dan Hart, Tom Lewis, Tracy Lutz, J.J. McLaughlin, Tony Oeding, Ryan Seidl, Mike Severs, Chuck Spearman, Chip Spooner, Chris Welbourne and Charlie Wing.

Universal Furniture

High Point — Bill Hogentogler has been named Salesman of the Year by case goods and upholstery importer Universal Furniture.

He has been a Universal sales representative for eight years, covering central and Southern California. Hogentogler also was honored as top volume producer and top bedroom sales producer.

Others receiving sales achievement awards were Bob Anguish and Jerry Farmer, north Texas; Art Dolins, Chicago and Milwaukee; and David Goldstein, New York/New Jersey.

American Bedding Credit Assn.

Burlington, N.C. — Ernie Farley, executive vice president of finance at CT Nassau, has been elected president of the American Bedding Credit Assn.

Outgoing ABCA President Larry Jarrett said, "With Ernie's appointment, the association is taking the necessary steps to position itself for further improvement and growth."

Farley said his main goals are boosting membership, keeping the organization on a sound financial footing and expending its profile within the bedding industry.

Greenbaum Interiors

Paterson, N.J. — High-end home furnishings retailer Greenbaum Interiors here has named veteran retailer/designer relations specialist Eylana Garfinkle to the new post of director of the trade division.

Garfinkle has more than 20 years experience in the home furnishings industry, including ownership of the Furniture Maven in West Orange, N.J. She most recently worked as the trade liaison for A&R Interiors in Denville, N.J. At Greenbaum, she will serve as liaison to the design community.
