Phoenix — A commercial by LBC Advertising for upholstery producer American Leather has won the advertising industry's Vision Award as the 2001 Category Winner in Broadcast Commercials for Retail.
LBC, formerly known as Lance Benefield & Co., also has 10 other ads that are national finalists for the 2002 awards, which will be announced next year. They include ads for American Leather, rug and carpet producer Karastan, and Fort Myers, Fla.-based retailer Robb & Stucky.
"The competition is designed to select the best local and regional and national TV commercials in the United States," said Sharon Peppers, LBC senior vice president. More than 30,000 entries are judged for creativity, production quality, copywriting and concept, talent and overall effectiveness.
All the LBC spots were crafted and directed by Sean Hanish and filmed by Gennadi Balitski. Jodi Gross was the on-location producer. Copywriters included Lance Hanish, David Santos, Eric Anderson, Sean Hanish and Phil Haney.
