High Point — Dino Di Luca has left his post as director of North American operations for leather upholstery producer DeCoro.
Joan Tremlett, DeCoro's director of U.S. sales and marketing, has assumed Di Luca's responsibilities on an interim basis.
Tremlett was with Natuzzi Americas for nine years before following Jeff Baron to DeCoro in May 2000. Baron left as president of DeCoro's U.S. unit in May 2002.
Di Luca said he is leaving to spend time with his wife and three sons. "It's time to recharge," he said. "I am keeping my options open."
A boyhood friend of DeCoro's president/owner Luca Ricci, Di Luca helped shepherd the company, which has production in China, to the American marketplace in 1998. He joined DeCoro in Los Angeles and was involved in shifting its operations to the East Coast and opening showroom facilities here in 1999.
