Monroe, Mich. — Even if a consumer doesn't know the difference between chenille and brocade, or if they think Victorian and contemporary are two types of music, La-Z-Boy says its upgraded Web site will help stir their inner interior designer.
Lazboy.com now features a new design center that provides decorating tips and advice from design experts, along with photo-realistic furniture renderings, two-dimensional room planning capabilities, and instant communication with local La-Z-Boy dealers.
The enhanced site for the nation's leading manufacturer of upholstered furniture also boasts a whole new look, extending the company's "New Look of Comfort" marketing campaign.
"Lazboy.com is perfect for customers who are interested in new furniture, yet need some inspiration and design assistance before making a commitment to purchase a new sofa or chair," said Doug Collier, vice president of marketing. "Visitors can use their creativity to design furniture, and then share their renderings with friends and family members before making any final decisions."
The site allows visitors to view virtually every furniture style that La-Z-Boy offers, including stationary sofas and chairs, recliners, motion sofas and sleepers, in a wide assortment of fabric applications. Customers can mix and match fabrics and frames.
Once visitors have designed and saved their customized furniture renderings, they can send them to a nearby La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store, La-Z-Boy in-store gallery or any authorized dealer to expedite the purchasing process.
The lazboy.com design center offers tips and advice from decorating experts, and its new two-dimensional room planning technology allows customers to create and view their room layouts on the computer screens. Customers can set up and see how their furniture will fit before bringing the furniture home.
"This Web site epitomizes our new brand focus on style and design," said Collier. "Our goal is to give consumers the tools, information and inspiration they seek in a personalized and convenient way. Lazboy.com creates a furniture shopping experience that is as comfortable as our furniture."
The site also offers customization based on customer's interests and previous selections, remembering style preferences from prior visits and making information displayed relevant to individuals.
