High Point — Agustin Landivar, who has spent the past 14 years importing and exporting goods to and from the United States, has joined Bolivian case goods manufacturer Casa Blanca as vice president.
Casa Blanca is a traditionally styled, high-end line of solid- wood case goods. With offices here, the company has a modern plant in Bolivia, but also incorporates hand-carved detailing, marquetry and inlay. Casa Blanca uses American finish products, hardware and leather tops.
Casa Blanca warehouses much of the line in High Point for immediate shipping. The company plans to open its showroom at 422 North Wrenn St. to designers and other trade customers between markets.
Along with its own line, Casa Blanca also markets furniture from two Spanish manufacturers, Vincent Montoro and Antico, as their exclusive U.S. agent. Montoro and Antico produce bedroom and case pieces with antiqued styling details, but not in solid wood and at lower price points than Casa Blanca.
