Orland Park, Ill. — Top 100 store Darvin Furniture has added two in-store galleries at its superstore here, and opened an adjacent, free-standing Thomasville Home Furnishings Store in this fast-growing Chicago suburb.
In August, the retailer installed a Stanley gallery and a Berne gallery. Both galleries are 7,500 square feet. Darvin has been selling Berne and Stanley furniture for 40 years. Bob McGivney manages the 100,000-square-foot superstore.
The Thomasville store is 13,000 square feet.
Darvin co-owners and brothers Marty and Steve Darvin, both third-generation industry veterans, have been selling Thomasville furniture for more than 50 years in the store.
A Broyhill Showplace gallery is slated for installation this fall.
Darvin, which had estimated sales last year of $65 million, is projecting 2002 sales of $70 million.
