Lane revamps occasional

High Point — Lane Home Furnishings showed a revamped occasional line at market, giving the category new merchandising possibilities when teamed with upholstery in its new Country Living licensed program.
Phillip Siler, merchandising manager/wood products, said the new offerings — called Perfect Match — mark a step away from the randomness of Lane's previous approach to styling.
"We are moving to more mainstream-styled product that offers function at a good value," he said. "Each of our introductions is designed to complement and enhance our upholstery offerings."
The new imported line centers on 10 groups of accent tables, four entertainment centers and wall systems, and four sets of motion tables. The accent tables will retail from about $199 to $399 while the new entertainment centers are in the $1,299 range.
"Perfect Match tables are built to the same scale as our upholstery and our prime focus is on premium finishes," Siler said. "The scale of the cocktails complements the proportions of our sofas."
Entertainment centers have towers with recessed lighting that support an adjustable bridge capable of accommodating TVs as wide as 60 inches.
Motion tables were offered in a modified polyurethane finish. A secure mechanism lifts the tabletop to the correct height for someone sitting on a sofa or chair. Castors, for ease of movement, have brakes. Retail are $249 to $299.
Perfect Match tables are expected to ship in March.
