AFMA offers joint summer conferences

Executives from different sides of the office and plant will come together for three joint conferences this summer offered by the American Furniture Manufacturers Assn.

Agendas, along with registration and hotel information, are available on the association's Web site at www.afma4u.org or by calling (336) 884-5000. The summer lineup includes:

  • Meeting Unprecedented Challenges in an Unpredictable World, for manufacturing, purchasing, information technology and transportation/logistics executives, July 15–17, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
    The program offers an array of topics selected for appeal to all five disciplines. Registration is $395 for AFMA members and $525 for non-members.

  • Practical Solutions for Optimizing Business Growth, for finance, marketing and public relations executives, July 29–31, Hilton Head, S.C.
    Public relations topics July 29 include improving investor relations, crisis communications planning, and maximizing publicity opportunities during High Point markets. Marketing and finance presenters on July 30–31 will offer an overview of demographic, economic, consumer behavior and product trends shaping the home furnishings marketplace. Registration is $450 for AFMA members and $600 for non-members.

  • Human resources, safety and environmental management executives will meet Sept. 21–24 in Charlotte, N.C. Professional development programs are planned for each discipline, plus concurrent sessions for all, and an expo of products and services related to environmental management, health and safety. Registration is $250 for AFMA members and $300 for non-members.
    AFMA Suppliers Division members are invited to all meetings, and can review online agendas to find which ones best suit their needs.
