FBI's Pearson to report through Henredon

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 19, 2004

Aligning its high-end brands, Furniture Brands International is having the Pearson Company report through Henredon Furniture rather than Thomasville Furniture, as it has for several years.

"Like the Hickory Chair realignment a year ago, this change is appropriate because of the close identity between Pearson and Henredon in terms of their products, customer base and price points," said Mickey Holliman, Furniture Brands chairman and CEO.

Pearson, based in High Point, makes high-end upholstered products.

Holliman said the Pearson operations "are run very autonomously, and this transfer should be totally transparent to the Pearson customers and employees." No operational or manufacturing changes are expected as a result of the switch.
