Universal taps Maddrey

High Point — R. Roland Maddrey has joined case goods and upholstery producer Universal Furniture as vice president of sales, a newly created position.
Maddrey was with Lea Inds. as a sales representative and vice president of sales, Western region. Previously, he was vice president of sales at HickoryMark.
At Universal, Maddrey will manage several key accounts and will oversee sales for Universal's new upholstery division. He reports to Randy Chrisley, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Roy Calcagne continues as vice president and general manager of the upholstery division.
