F/T sets people issue
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, July 26, 2004
High Point — Furniture/Today will publish in December a special issue recognizing the achievements of outstanding furniture leaders and is seeking nominations from the industry.
The special issue, called People/Today, will appear Dec. 6 and will spotlight industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in marketing, merchandising, industry education, product design, product development, retail formats and other areas.
Also highlighted will be groups of industry players such as outstanding manufacturers' reps, senior statesmen, rising young stars, new faces from outside the industry, industry innovators, and second- and third-generation company leaders.
A section will reveal surprising and unusual hobbies of industry notables.
"We think People/Today will be a terrific venue to honor many of our industry's outstanding people, celebrate their achievements and, by extension, recognize the role the home furnishings sector plays in making the consumer's world a better place to live in," said Ray Allegrezza, editor-in-chief of Furniture/Today.
"Since the issue really is all about the people who make a difference in our industry, we are asking the industry to help nominate individuals that deserve recognition," he said, adding, "Here's your chance to tell us who really stands out and why."
To make a nomination, visit Furniture/Today's Web site at www.furnituretoday.com. Nominations must be made by July 30.
