Vancouver, British Columbia — Case goods importer Hamilton & Spill has named Brenda Plowman vice president of sales for the United States.
She replaces David King, who left for personal reasons. Hamilton & Spill President David Gerstner thanked King for working as a key team player and for his part in developing and enhancing the company's U.S. presence.
Since March, Plowman had been Hamilton & Spill's Canadian sales and marketing manager. Before that, she was CEO and chief strategist with the sales and marketing firm SynapTuit Group Services. She reports to Gerstner, who joined H&S in April.
Executive Vice President Rick Verjee will fill Plowman's former position until the company finds a replacement. The role is familiar to Verjee as it was among his former responsibilities.
Also, the company has promoted controller Francis Leung to chief financial officer. He will help oversee international business strategy, and reports to both Gerstner and CEO Mick Verjee.
Information technology manager Peter Henriques succeeds Leung as controller.
