Close resigns as Serta VP

Itasca, Ill. — Tim Close resigned last week as vice president of marketing communications at bedding major Serta.
Close, an eight-year Serta veteran, joined the company as director of communications and public relations and was promoted to vice president in 2000.
"I've truly enjoyed my time at Serta Inc., and working with some of the most dynamic people in the industry," Close said. "It has been a fantastic time to be part of this organization."
No successor has been named.
