High Point — Anyone planning to attend the High Point market can start making online hotel reservations and view other market information now that the Market Authority's updated Web site, www.highpointmarket.org, has gone live.
The revamped site lists more than 70 hotels, which users can sort by city, price range, availability or property name. The roster includes several properties participating in the market's "Later for Less" program, which offers discounts for guests who check in Sunday, Oct. 17, or later.
The market officially opens Thursday, Oct. 14.
In addition, the Web site contains schedules for the free shuttles from hotels, satellite parking lots and the Piedmont Triad International Airport. Marketgoers who fly to airports in Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., can buy tickets for shuttles to and from these facilities.
The site also includes an updated listing of exhibitors by category, as well as a listing of educational and social activities in various showroom buildings.
