Kids Today hires Merritte

Greensboro, N.C. — Kids Today has named Tanya K. Merritte managing editor.
She is responsible for editing, headline writing and page layout for the monthly publication, a supplement to Furniture/Today, Home Textiles Today and Home Accents Today.
Merritte also will serve as a regular contributor to Kids Today, covering trade shows, news and product features.
"I am thrilled to welcome Tanya to Kids Today," said Jane Kitchen, editor of Kids Today. "Her talent, energy and enthusiasm will be well-placed at our growing publication, and she is a welcome addition to the juvenile industry as a whole."
Before joining the publication, Merritte spent seven years as a copy editor at the News & Record, a daily newspaper in Greensboro, N.C. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where she earned a degree in journalism.
Merritte replaces Jenny Heinzen York, who has moved to Kids Today's sister publication, Home Accents Today, as managing editor.
