Columbus, Miss. — Duke Berry has joined case goods producer Johnston/Tombigbee Mfg. as vice president of retail sales.
Berry, the grandson of company founder Russell B. Johnston and brother of JTB President Reau Berry, is back in case goods manufacturing after 15 years in upholstery manufacturing and at retail. Most recently, he had a store in Memphis, Tenn., Duke's Furniture, which has closed.
He replaces Jimmy Fleming, who left Johnston/Tombigbee and has started a retail business in Memphis called Fleming Furniture Direct.
In his new role, Duke Berry will be responsible for product development, sales force management and marketing.
