By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 9, 2005
Monroe, Mich. — La-Z-Boy has lost a board member to the U.S. Senate. Mel Martinez resigned as a director last week, two months after winning his election in Florida.
"Although Mel served on our board only a short time, his knowledge and perspectives were extremely valuable to our company," said La-Z-Boy Chairman Pat Norton. "We wish Mel the best as he unselfishly continues his long history of public service."
