Hellenic, Bob Mackie team up

Atlanta — Hellenic Rug Imports is introducing a licensed rug collection by fashion, costume and home furnishings designer Bob Mackie at the January rug market here.
Mackie will be on hand to help launch his 40-piece line, which features hand-tufted wools, wools with silk highlights and hand-knotted rugs. The rugs will retail between $349 and $1,199 in a 6 by 9 size.
"Bob Mackie's designs and use of color are so unique that they will bring a totally fresh and exciting look to our assortment, and to the industry as a whole," said Steve Mazarakis, Hellenic's CEO.
"We decided to partner with Hellenic because the company has the ability to translate Bob's designs into wonderful, beautifully detailed rugs," said Marc Schwartz, chief operating officer of Bob Mackie Design Group.
Hellenic is hosting a launch party with Mackie on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 5 p.m. in its Atlanta Mart showroom, suite 6-G-12.
The Bob Mackie Home program now encompasses case goods and upholstery at American Drew, lighting and rugs.
