Berman promoted to EVP/GM at Raxon

New York — Ivy Berman has been promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president and general manager of Raxon Fabrics USA.

She has been with Raxon five years, most recently as sales and marketing manager. Berman reports to Raxon's Dutch parent company, Vescom Group.

Ruud Aberson, who had been president of Raxon since 2001, left the company to become managing director of textile wholesaler Eijffinger in the Netherlands.

Berman said she plans to hire a salesperson for New York to take over some key accounts she was handling, but won't fill her old position.

"We are still a small, specialized mill and I want to keep involved in this end of the business," she said.
