SunBelt holds export workshop

Singapore — Global transportation and logistics provider SunBelt Furniture Xpress International participated in a workshop here for local furniture makers and exporters that outlined the latest developments in the U.S. market.
The workshop, designed to help establish Singapore as a premier furniture hub, was organized by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council.
While many domestic furniture makers are enthusiastic about exporting, they face challenges, said Joe Goering, vice president/general manager of SBFX International.
"We have the transportation and logistics infrastructure to help them get their products to the U.S. market, but they need their own sales and marketing plans," he said.
"It's important for them to differentiate their product lines to match up best with the hundreds of stores and buying groups."
SBFX International, with its Hickory, N.C.-based subsidiary SunBelt Furniture Xpress, provides turnkey furniture distribution services from any foreign point of origin to anywhere in the United States for full containers, and offers less-than-truckload delivery in SunBelt's service area.
