HIGH POINT — A new exhibit area that traces the history of the furniture industry in High Point was unveiled last week at the High Point Museum.
The exhibit, titled High Point's Furniture Heritage, occupies the entire lower level of the museum — slightly more than 40% of its total gallery space. It features a variety of historic photographs, documents, video, machinery and other objects, and includes several hands-on activities.
The exhibit is open to the public during the museum's hours, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The museum is at 1859 E. Lexington Ave.
