HIGH POINT — The first Windows Pavilion that will be part of Summer Showtime here June 7-10 features a pair of trend presentations that will add value to the semi-annual fabric show.
According to the International Textile Market Assn., the event's organizer, Showtime wants to extend its market reach and membership rolls by showcasing a dozen exhibitors that supply workrooms and manufacturers of window fashions and bedding.
The seminars will be presented by Deb Barrett, a trend specialist for Grace McNamara Inc., which publishes Window Fashion Vision magazine and produces the annual International Window Covers EXPO trade event for the industry.
Barrett's topics will be:
-
“Trendspotting: New Patterns of Consumer Behavior,” which deals with issues and events influencing consumers' purchasing decisions and shopping behaviors. The seminar will tackle what motivates shoppers to buy and where; key consumer and design trends, with examples of new products and materials; and how best practices and transformative changes from other industries can be applied to designs, marketing, sampling and business.
-
“International Design Report: The Hottest New Looks from the World's Top Markets,” featuring the latest product introductions, color and material trends through photos and actual sampling from some of the world's leading design shows. The event brings the latest window covering design themes to attendees, outlining how certain products and style references develop from one show to the next. There will be reviews of Cologne, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt and London and some of the top U.S. markets.
