This year's winners are Skylar Davis and Jessica Henderson, both of High Point University; Andrew Golombisky, Kendall College of Art and Design; and Trenton Huffines, North Carolina State University.
The award was established in 2001 by Laurence Moh, founder of Universal Furniture and Fine Furniture Design & Marketing, to honor his wife, Celia. The program has a $3 million endowment and has awarded 56 full scholarships in eight years.
The scholarship pays tuition, fees, room and board and books and is offered to students who are planning a career in the home furnishing industry. The scholarship also hosts an annual networking trip to the High Point Market and offers internship and career guidance to the winners.
Candidates were selected by their universities and each student was required to provide an application, essay, instructor recommendations and a transcript. A committee of home furnishings executives selected the winners.
