Good Housekeeping gives seal to HealthSmart bed

Atlanta — Simmons' new HealthSmart bed is attracting attention everywhere from New York fashion runways to the Good Housekeeping Institute.
Simmons said the new bed, which features a removable, washable cover, has been granted the Good Housekeeping Seal.
"We are excited that the HealthSmart bed will proudly display the Good Housekeeping Seal," said Scott Whitaker, vice president of marketing. "We view this opportunity as an achievement that underscores Simmons' continued commitment to excellence in the mattress industry."
The HealthSmart bed made an appearance at New York's Fashion Week, where celebrities received coupons for the beds in gift bags given out at a lavish party. The TV show "Access Hollywood" did a story on the gift bags. In December, Simmons gave away 250 of the HealthSmart beds to everyone in the studio audience of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
Forbes.com also singled out the bed, now hitting retail floors, as one of its Top Ten Nanotech Products.
