Young designers compete
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 6, 2005
Valencia, Spain — Sponsored by the Assn. of Textile Companies of the Valencian Community, the 7th edition of the International Textile Design Competition drew 258 entries from universities, design schools and up-and-coming young designers from around the country.
The annual awards are designed to encourage the vision of textiles as a fashion product. They also ask entrants to experiment and research consumer trends.
In addition to giving young designers a chance to show off their talent, the award program brings them into direct contact with the textile industry.
