Hickory, N.C. — Regenia Payne has been named creative director at upper-end upholstery maker Vanguard Furniture here.
She reports to Dixon Mitchell, merchandise manager.
Payne was director of upholstery merchandising at Henredon, where she worked for six years. Before that, she was a set designer at Alderman Studios.

Secaucus, N.J. — Sanjay Purohit has been appointed CEO of rug resource Zollanvari.
He has 10 years of industry experience, most recently as vice president at Obeetee. Earlier, he was sales manager for Woven Legends.
Purohit reports to President Reza Zollanvari.
La-Z-Boy Canada
Monroe, Mich. — Renzo Bulgarelli has been named general manager of La-Z-Boy Canada's manufacturing facility in Waterloo, Ontario.
He is responsible for the planning, organizing and directing of all operational activities. Bulgarelli reports to Don Mather, vice president of manufacturing.

Roanoke, Va — The board of directors of O'Sullivan Inds. Holdings, parent of ready-to-assemble furniture maker O'Sullivan, has elected Keith E. Alessi as a Class III director and William J. Denton as a Class I director. Alessi also was named chairman of the audit committee, and Denton a member of the compensations committee. Both also were named directors of subsidiary corporations O'Sullivan Inds. and O'Sullivan Inds.-Virginia.
Alessi has been the owner, chairman and CEO of Lifestyles Improvement Centers, Virginia Beach, Va., since 2003. He is an adjunct professor of law at the Washington and Lee University School of Law and adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business Administration.
Denton was president and CEO of Fiskars Brands, a global maker and marketer of consumer and industrial products.
