Furniture Brands hires Ramos as sr. VP, CFO

St. Louis — Furniture Brands International has hired Denise L. Ramos as senior vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer, replacing David Howard, who has resigned.
Ramos has been CFO of the KFC division of Yum Brands for two years. Previously, she worked at Atlantic Richfield Co. for 21 years.
Furniture Brands Chairman and CEO Mickey Holliman said Howard was leaving the manufacturer "by mutual agreement." He will remain on the payroll for a time under his employment contract, but has relinquished day-to-day responsibilities.
