Bowman joins Thomasville as NSM
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 13, 2005
Thomasville, N.C. — Thomasville has hired retail veteran Kevin Bowman as national sales manager.
He reports to Jamie Collins, vice president of sales and retail development, and succeeds Adam Tilley, who was named merchandising/marketing manager in November.
Bowman most recently was a store manager in Atlanta for Hendricks Furniture Group, which operates five Thomasville stores in the market.
He played an integral role in developing the company's Thomas-ville store program, including opening and running two locations, and sales and store manager training.
Before joining Hendricks, he worked in retail management at Circuit City and, for 14 years, at Sears HomeLife, where he was responsible for recruitment, training and business leadership for the company's 23-store Southeast region.
At Thomasville, his primary focus will be on managing 40 marketing representatives. He will travel extensively, working with the reps and Thomas-ville store owners and dealers to develop territories and increase market share.
Collins said Bowman "has a passion for the Thomasville brand and has seen its power first-hand in the store."
