TradeWinds golf event raises $16,000
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 13, 2005
Dawsonville, Ga. — Players and sponsors at the Eighth Annual TradeWinds Partners Charity Golf event here raised $16,000 for good causes.
As in past years, the main beneficiary was the Atlanta Union Mission (www.aumcares.org), with TradeWinds Partners donations pledged to help homeless and abused women and children in metro Atlanta.
Additional donations from the outing were made to High Point University, Paoli's Children's Charity and the Hooker Education Fund.
Manufacturers Hooker and Paoli are the largest sponsors of the event. TradeWinds represents the two companies, along with Hooker subsidiary Bradington-Young.
More than 75 sponsors and over 100 players contributed to the latest effort. A now-annual silent auction added to the total raised. TradeWinds Partners already is collecting items for the 2005 tournament auction, scheduled for the third Monday in August.
