BenchCraft leases Miss. facility for distribution
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 27, 2005
Ripley, Miss. — Upholstery producer BenchCraft has leased a 105,000-square-foot facility here for finished goods shipping.
The facility, in North Ripley Industrial Park near two other BenchCraft facilities, became operational Feb. 9. The lease is for six-month periods.
David Hook, vice president and general manager of Mississippi operations, said the facility would serve as a substation to BenchCraft's main warehouse, which is 15 miles away in Blue Mountain, Miss.
"We keep adding production and we just ran out of room to put finished goods," Hook said. "We've had a very good couple of years, and last year was extremely good."
