By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, February 27, 2005

Steve Farber, a former executive with the Tom Peters Co., will headline a slate of speakers for Myriad Software's 11th annual user's conference March 20–23 in New Orleans.

Other speakers include Ray Allegrezza, editor in chief of Furniture/Today, and Julie Smith, editor of Furniture Style magazine. Allegrezza will present a store performance analysis, discussing margins, profits and other industry data. Smith will discuss consumer buying trends.

Faber is president of Extreme Leadership Inc. and is a motivational speaker on the topics of leadership, service quality, reinvention and teamwork. He joined the Tom Peters organization in 1994 as its first full-time staff consultant and left in 2000 to establish his own company.

The conference, with the theme Expanding Your Vision, will focus on strategic planning for furniture retailers in an effort to help them prepare their businesses for growth. It will include breakout sessions led by Myriad's middle management and company co-founders Carolyn Crowley and Russ Higgins.
