Gum Tree Fabrics

Tupelo, Miss. — Deborah A. Fleming has been named senior designer for supplier Gum Tree Fabrics.

She has worked with Culp, Mastercraft and Cone Decorative Fabrics, and won awards three years in a row at Decosit for trends, color and theme.

In her new post, Fleming will work with J. Robert Cox, Gum Tree's vice president of merchandising and sales, to develop new fabrics, said President Donna Marecle.

Couristan

Fort Lee, N.J. — Larry Purcell has been appointed territory manager for Minnesota and Iowa for rug and carpet resource Couristan, representing the residential and custom contract divisions.

He previously was territory manager for the Fashion Division of Mohawk Inds., representing Karastan, Ralph Lauren, Custom weave and Helios.

At Couristan, Purcell reports to Geoffrey Siebold, residential Midwest regional sales manager.

Founded in 1926, Couristan offers a broad assortment of power-loomed and hand-made rugs, and residential and contract broadloom carpeting.

FKI Security Group

New Albany, Ind. — Security and loss prevention company FKI Security Group has named Mike Partlow national account manager for the Pacific Northwest and other Western states, including California.

Based in Seattle, he will develop new accounts and maintain relationships with existing customers.

Partlow has been in the office furniture industry for 25 years, most recently as West regional vice president of furniture for Corporate Express.

Glideaway Bed Carriage

St. Louis — Sidney "Red" Bresler, vice president of sales for metal bed products manufacturer Glideaway Bed Carriage Mfg. Co., has retired.

He joined Glideaway in 1963 and has worked with major accounts in the United States.
