High Point, N.C. — Importer Universal Furniture has hired Phillip Siler as vice president of occasional merchandising.
Siler will be responsible for product development and business management for occasional, home entertainment and home office products. He reports to Stephen Giles, senior vice president of merchandising.
"Phillip understands consumers' desires and interprets those into sought-after and salable products," said Giles. "His vision and business acumen will help us continue the energetic growth of our entire assortment."
Before joining Universal, Siler was general manager of case goods for Palliser. Earlier, he was vice president of merchandising for Master Design and worked for 10 years in product development and management for Lane.
