Select Comfort donates beds to Ronald McDonald House

Minneapolis — Select Comfort donated more than 1,100 of its Sleep Number beds to Ronald McDonald House Charities last year.
The beds were sent to Ronald McDonald Houses in several cities, including Seattle; New Hyde Park, N.Y.; Morgantown, W.Va.; Temple, Texas; Memphis; and Dallas.
The company became the official bed provider for Ronald McDonald House in 2001. In addition to beds from the company, Select Comfort employees have donated more than 1,000 volunteer hours and $100,000 in contributions through employee payroll deductions and other fund-raising efforts.
Last year, Select Comfort expanded its role by sponsoring travel each month for its employees to set up beds at houses across the country.
"Watching a child struggle with a serious illness is difficult and exhausting, to say the least," said Noel Schenker, senior vice president of marketing and new business development at Select Comfort.
"Through our support of Ronald McDonald Houses, we hope to help families get a better night's sleep so they have the energy they need during the day to be strong and supportive."
