Greensboro, N.C. — Wrangler Home, a division of VF Corp., has donated $10,000 to First Book-Greensboro, a local branch of the national non-profit literacy foundation based in Washington.
Wrangler Home also supported Greensboro Brings Reading Home, a week-long children's literacy festival held last October.
"First Book is excited about this partnership, and the Wrangler Home brand's contribution will help bring more books to children in the Greensboro community," said Lynda Lancaster, senior vice president of national outreach at First Book.
"This donation emphasizes the importance of businesses working with community groups to expand the impact of reading programs."
First Book works in conjunction with other literacy programs to provide new books to children from low-income families. In the past three yeas, First Book has provided nearly 20 million books to children across the country.
