New Orleans — About 40 dealers attended the International Furniture Rental Assn. annual meeting here early this year for a program on business and legislative issues.
Representatives of the rental industry's Big Four took part in a panel discussion on the industry outlook. Panelists were Paul Arnold of Cort, Robert W. Crawford Jr. of Brook Furniture Rentals, Don Lange of Aaron Rents and Neil Scholnick of American Furniture Rentals.
Legislative issues covered at the meeting included an update on California flammability regulations and the progress of federal legislation on depreciation.
Scholnick, president of American Furniture Rentals, Bensalem, Pa., is president of IFRA. Ginny Kreamer, Custom Furniture Rental, Las Vegas, is president elect.
