Sunbrella receives two ADEX awards
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 13, 2005
Glen Raven, N.C. — Two Sunbrella furniture fabric collections have received ADEX Awards for Design Excellence in an annual competition sponsored by Design Journal, a trade publication for interior designers, architects and facility managers.
The Sunbrella Rose chenille collection received a platinum award and the Sunbrella Scarlet collection received a gold trophy.
Gina Wicker, design director for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics, which produces Sunbrella, said, "These awards will help us continue our outreach to the design community, letting everyone know that you can have it all — color, design, hand, fade- and stain-resistance, and ease of cleaning — in one fabric."
Sunbrella brand performance fabrics, introduced in 1960 by Glen Raven, are supplied to customers in more than 120 countries.
