Greater Midwest HFA hosts awards

Elmwood Park, Ill. — More than 250 industry members and their guests attended the Greater Midwest Home Furnishings Assn.'s awards party and Toys for Tots gift drive event here.
Several award winners were presented plaques for their industry achievements, including:

Retailer of the year, multiple store category: Bob Cremer, president of Aronson Furniture, Chicago.

Retailer of the year, independent store: Bill and Rosanne Gizzi of Avanti Fine Furniture, Frankfort, Ill.

Buyer of the year: Bob Scheuneman of DeYoung & Sons Furniture, South Holland, Ill.

Specialty store of the year: Debbie Chapman of The Great Escape Home Furnishings, South Holland, Ill.

Pillar of the Industry: Frank Turk Jr., Turk Furniture Co.,
Joliet, Ill. His father received the same award in 1994.
