High Point — Two opportunities for fellowship in a Christian setting are planned for the April market here.
The 11th annual Furniture Fellowship Prayer Breakfast will be held Wednesday, April 13, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. in the ballroom of the Green Wing on the 11th floor of the International Home Furnishings Center.
Dr. Crawford W. Lorrits Jr., associate director, U.S. Ministry, for Campus Crusade for Christ will be the guest speaker. He founded Legacy, a ministry dedicated to rebuilding and restoring urban families, and has authored four books and numerous articles.
The cost for attending the breakfast is $15. Half-tables of five seats may be purchased for $75 and full tables of 10 for $150. Reservations may be made by sending a check and a request to Carole Long, Berkline, P.O. Box 6003, Morristown, Tenn. 37815. To reserve a half table or whole table, include a list of names of the people attending. The deadline for reservations is March 21.
A Sunday morning worship service will be held April 17 from 7 to 7:45 in the High Point Theatre, 220 E. Commerce Ave. There is no charge.
Furniture Fellowship donates funds in excess of the cost of the breakfast to local and national charities. Past recipients have included the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Anti-Defamation League, City of Hope and the Lighthouse Project. This year's excess contributions will go to Habitat for Humanity. The Furniture Fellowship also sponsors a scholarship at High Point University for a student in the International School of Home Furnishings.
