IHFRA gala honors Paul Long

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 20, 2005

Mark Craven, new president of the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn., welcomed members and guests to the group's 71st annual gala here earlier this month.

Other newly elected officers on IHFRA's executive board are Ray Isser, first vice president; Rick Gillispie, second vice president; Jim Craven, secretary treasurer; and Terry Hollingsworth, chairman of the board. IHFRA also introduced its new executive director, Kathy Parks.

Honors presented at the gala included the Rudy Award, given posthumously to Paul P. Long, who the association said "exemplified the spirit of this award with his giving nature and regard for his fellow reps."

Chapter of the Year went to the Southern California reps' guild, which led other chapters in attaining goals such as membership growth and CHR graduation percentage.

Reps named Deans of IHFRA were Ray Jessup, Merry Klinefelter, Andy Shay, Cathy Reed and Sherwin Rice.
