Castella resigns at Guardian
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 20, 2005
Ceres, Calif. — Jack Castella Sr. has resigned after 12 years as general manager of furniture protection products supplier Guardian Products. Linda Lemar has been promoted to replace him.
"My decision was based solely upon my family and career needs," said Castella. "Guardian is a fine company with a strong, long-term position within the retail home furnishings marketplace." He did not disclose his plans.
Ronnie Holman, president of Guardian parent The RPM Wood Finishes Group, said the company would "miss the vision and leadership Jack has brought to Guardian Products and our industry. We wish him success in his future endeavors."
Lemar most recently managed internal customer service, warranty service and operations for Guardian. As general manager, she is responsible for sales, marketing and new products.
