By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 27, 2005
Chapel Hill, N.C. — Donald Clark, former president and CEO of polyester fiber supplier Pliana, is now a sales agent for American Fibers & Yarns Co., a supplier of solution-dyed filament yarns, and Lonfil America, a supplier of chenille yarns that is a customer of AF&Y. Clark will manage key accounts for both companies.
Before he joined Pliana in 2000, Clark spent 19 years at DuPont in the company's nylon, Dacron polyester and Lycra spandex businesses.
Michael Apperson, CEO of AF&Y, and Carlo Longo, Lonfil America vice president, both praised Clark's extensive industry experience and knowledge and said he would help their companies continue to grow.
Clark will maintain an office in Charlotte, N.C.
