High Point — Interactive Health, a producer of robotic massage chairs and other specialty seating products, is adding two models to its Human Touch line of high-end massage chairs.
The new models, which retail for about $1,999, include an array of new features such as a power footrest, calf and foot massage, and a sophisticated remote control unit that has a thumb-operated joystick.
The new chairs incorporate Interactive Health's proprietary Human Touch Technology massage system, which the company says replicates therapeutic techniques used by professional massage therapists. The unit is endorsed by the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists.
"Since the introduction of the first robotic massage chair over 25 years ago, Interactive Health has seen unparalleled success in penetrating many of the top retailers in the U.S. and global robotic massage market," said President Andrew Cohen. "The introduction of these models and technologies will further strengthen our dominant U.S. position within this market."
Interactive Health's other products include iJoy, an ultra-contemporary robotic massage chair, and The Perfect Chair, a zero-gravity chair that takes the weight off a person's back and places him or her in a neutral posture.
