Brooks making major glider line expansion
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 10, 2005
High Point — Brooks Furniture, a major domestic glider rocker producer, is unveiling an upscale imported glider collection.
The 10-model line, one of the largest rollouts in the company's history, is designed by Ron Stilwell, a well-known independent furniture designer.
Gene Gathagan, vice president of sales and marketing, said the new gliders have a more upscale, sophisticated look than the company's existing line.
Styles range from casual to traditional, with features such as solid-wood construction, multi-step finishes and plush foam cushions.
Gathagan said the new models should retail for $299 to $399, two of the hottest price points.
